Hi Mary Ann ,

I haven’t sent you an email in a while and I was thinking about you this morning so I decided to send a quick email.  I’m sitting here doing work on the computer and Ginger is all curled up in my lap taking a nap.  She’s such a cuddle bug.  She is doing so fantastic!  I really have never been around an animal that loves life as much as Ginger loves life.  She loves everything!  She loves getting a bath, she loves going for rides in the car, she loves eating, she loves sleeping, she loves going to the groomer, she loves being a guard dog, she loves taking walks, she loves all visitors, she loves playing with the children and the neighbor dogs, she loves hanging out and she loves TEXAS!  I just had to add that.  I mean normally there is something they don’t like whether it is baths or something. She even likes the blow dryer.  She rolls over and enjoys every minute.  She is such a sweet girl and we love her so much.  Thanks for raising such a precious little girl for our family.  We could not be happier and she could not be happier.  We are getting a family picture next month and of course Ginger will be in it!  I’ll send you a copy.  I may use it as a Christmas card.

I hope all is well with your family.  Has your daughter started school yet?

Is it getting cooler there?

Blessings, Carrie

Jill and Johann came all the way here from Ohio.  This trip was in the making for several weeks.  :o)  They started with Bailey - decided to wait for Tucker too to grow up,  Then Jill thought how nice it would be for her parents to have a new puppy and picked out Gunner for them.  I have to include all of her letter here - it helps to explain the "new toy" for Tucker and Bailey pic.  :o) - plus, she writes such nice stuff.  We so enjoyed our visit with them here.  Do you see the background on this picture?  Jill showed Grace and I how to do that - we hope to remember and use it some time, it is very very fun trick photography.  We do hope to add more pictures as time goes by.

"Hey there,

Sorry it has taken me so long to get a couple pictures to you.  it has been hectic since we got back – plus I’ve just been plain pooped!    I will try to get some more of Bailey asap -  and some of Gunner and my mom and dad.

Gunner  -  mom and dad  put him in a wire crate – and he is doing a lot better…..I think he just didn’t like that closed in feeling of the plastic crate.  They took him over to the Senior Citizen Center last Thursday – there was a Bocce’ Ball Tournament -  well – let’s just say from the time they arrived I don’t think they saw Gunner until it was time to leave – everyone loved him, and passed him from  person to person.  Mom and dad are enjoying his company and he has become a very loved member of the family.  Gunner has found a very comfortable spot laying on dad’s lap, for his afternoon and evening nap.  Spoiled – not a chance!!!

Tucker and Bailey are absolutely wonderful.  We take them to the park for walks, and everyone stops us to see them and hold them.  They love to play ball, and chase a Frisbee – of course Tucker forgets that he can’t stand on the Frisbee and pick it up at the same time – but hey – you can’t have looks and brains !! lol  they love playing with our two cats…..in fact Grace, the grey tiger, let’s them pull her tail and ear and play tug of war -  and when the boys get bored or distracted and walk away – she goes and finds them, and sticks her head under them, and lifts them up, so they will play some more.  Hope – our black cat, went for a walk with Bailey and Johann the other night – the 3 of them strolled down the road for  a 1 mile walk – Hope never left their side.

They are doing really well at potty training – couple accidents – when we get distracted – but for the most part – they are getting along really well.  Went to vet last week – husband and wife team – they loved them and commented on how healthy and happy they were…..and how well tolerate they were of the exam and such.  I gave you all the credit of course!!!

We could not be more pleased with our new additions.  I was really apprehensive about purchasing a puppy off of the internet – with all that you hear and see about the mistreatment of dogs, puppy mills and such….but after talking with you by phone, and then the continual communication that we had with emails, you made this experience not only easy, but a real joy.  As I told you before, the many pictures and videos  you sent to update us on their growth, made for a wonderful experience.  We had fallen in love with them and felt a strong bond with those precious little boys, long before we actually got to hold them.  The day we arrived to pick up our boys was one of both excitement and apprehension – excitement because we were finally going to get to hold and love on our little boys, but also that ever looming question in the back of our minds – could this really  be everything that we had come to picture in our minds, from all of the videos and pictures you sent – were they really real!!!.  Could this really be a loving environment that raises not only beautiful puppies, but also well adjusted, loved and nurtured little bundles of joy – would this be a place of joy or one of those places that we so often see on the news of poorly cared for dogs, breeding litter  after litter, with no concern for the happiness nor welfare of the dogs.    I left your home that day, feeling so blessed that I not only was finally bringing home our precious little boys, but I made new friends with you and Grace.  You went above and beyond in all that you did for our boys, but also all of the other little ones that came before, and all those that are sure to come after.   You have done a wonderful job in providing a loving home for “all of your babies”, young and old.   You two were such a joy to talk to, and share our day with.  I so appreciate the attention to detail on   all that you do, and the time you took to show us the proper grooming and care skills we needed to properly care for our boys.    From the bottom of our hearts,  we can’t thank you enough for giving our little guys such a loving start to their life -  The Lord has blessed you and your family richly, as he has ours.   You made this experience one of great joy and  you have truly blessed our lives.

With much love and thanks,

Jill, Johann, Jayme, Alyssa and Travis

"Hi Mary Ann, Taxi arrived!! He is doing well. We are home and getting settled. Thank you so much for everything. He is everything I thought he would be. I will send you some pictures in the next few days. I have an appointment set up for Tuesday. Have a great weekend! Tammi"

"Hi Mary Ann, I've been meaning to email you an update on how Taxi is doing. He is great!!! He is the sweetest and cutest puppy ever. I can't believe his temperament and how mellow he is. I am enjoying being a mommy, it is a lot of work though. I had his puppy shower last Friday and he got a lot of fun gifts. He also had a visit to the vet which was positive. He is doing well.  I wanted to thank you again for all that you have done. I attached a picture of the two of us. We'll be in touch. Take care, Tammi"

We have Roxi, the best puppy ever!
She is adorable as well as super smart....you didn't tell me that I had a genius.
She's been so adaptable. We have her collar on, put her harness on & she's walks great on a leash.
You know I wanted to do piddle pad training but she goes outside & has pretty good control. She made it for 6 hrs. the past 2 nights. She also uses the piddle pads.
She's so playful & is learning quickly key words.
The only time she cries is when we put her in her playpen so that we can shower, get dressed, eat, etc. Her cries are gut wrenching but I know she just doesn't want to be left alone.....she'll have to learn that we do have to leave her but we come back.
She is enrolled in a 6 week puppy kindergarten class starting Aug. 18th.
(Nancy told my by phone, she thinks she needs the graduate level already. :o)
How was your journey back home?
The Zaifert's couldn't have been nicer. Wish we could have met you. I'll have Joel send you some pics of the precious baby.  We're off now to the vet for her check-up.
Thanks for bringing so much joy into our lives.  Love, Nancy ❤

Mary Ann,
Hopefully, you are back home with all your babies both human & puppies.  I know you do testing on your puppies but I don't think I was told the results of my "genius." She is a show stopper. We can't get far outside since everyone stops her......she loves the attention.  We are so in love with her!
Love, Nancy ❤

Jim & Betty decided to take Heidi and DeeDee

Jim and Betty were looking for a 'rag dog' to ride in the car with them.
Because they
could see how much these 2 sisters liked playing together,  Betty just could not see separating them.
I think that is so nice of them.

Jim and Betty are real animal lovers, so you can believe that Gladys and Flora have gone to an excellent home.  It is so nice when we get to meet the people who get our puppies.

It is wonderful to visit to be able to visit on-line, and by phone too, (our world is definitely getting smaller), but getting to see and meet our puppies' new parents is always very special.
