Pansy
Pansy and Dessa have the exact same birthday - June 28, 2006. They are not related at all, and we got them at totally different times. Anyway, Pansy has a lot of great Pekingese names in her pedigree - she is a very beautiful Pekingese. She has the "air" of royalty about her - and you can just see that in her pictures.
Pansy is now a Champion Titled Pekingese - watch the slides to see her at a show w/ Mike.
Dessa
Oh Dessa Joy of Hearthside. We call her Dessie. Dessie has AM CH Carr's Jack Daniel of HI Win's in the 4th generation of her pedigree. She is a gorgeous red color, she snores like any respectable, well-bred Pekingese does - and we love her totally sweet ways.
Cookie Grows Up
This is Cookie. Her registered name is "Butterscotch Kisses of Hearthside". She is such a sweet little girl, but is full of spunk and personality too. She loves to be with people, she knows we love her, and as far as she is concerned, life did not start here until she arrived. She comes running when she hears the ice machine - with her tail wagging - she loves crushed ice in her bowl. :o) Cookie was born in April of 2009.
"In the Twinkling of an Eye"
"In the Twinkling of an Eye" of Hearthside is this little girls name. We call her Twink or Twinkle for short. She was born in July of 2009, and you can see she is just adorable. We love our Pekingese dams and have almost thought of raising Pekingese, but will leave that to others. We choose to raise our sweet Pekapoos - who are basically non-shedding because of their poodle genes and maybe a bit more intelligent - though it is hard to say that with
little Twink 'looking at me' right now. :o) We got Twinkle from a local breeder, here in Mtn. Grove. We got to pick her out as a baby and go to visit her as she grew up. That was a real treat for us.
Because we have 4 poodle boys, we like to have 4 Peke girls too, so we have added 2 this summer.
It will be some time before we see anything but fun and frolic out of Cookie and Twink.
