Zippy to Dixie - and she loves her family and home in FL
Pause Stop Previous Next View full-sized photos
Hi Mary Ann!  Well, Zippy, Lacey is now Dixie.  My husband decided Lacey sounded too much like Daisy (our lab) so we settled on Dixie.  Dixie was our Doberman and she was the love of our lives.  We moved to Norway when she was 9 months old and she became my constant companion while Bill was off shore.  She was obedience trained and even "acted" in several plays at the school where I taught.  I am planning on Dixie 2 being my constant companion, too. I just ordered a purse style carrier for her!

We have fallen in love with her.  She is just perfect.  She has only had two accidents in the house so far, of course we are taking her out regularly so maybe we are well trained.  Our other two dogs like her and let her climb on them when she is outside.  She shows "proper" respect for the cat so he even likes her.  Last night they both slept on the bed with us.  We will crate her when we are leaving her at home, but I want her to sleep with us (I'm not just spoiling her, it is for me!).  Even Dixie the Doberman slept with us.  Our friends who were visiting last week, had a Shitzu Bichon cross.  He was 6 months old and he and Dixie played constantly.  They left this morning and she is resting up today.
Hopefully I am attaching a picture of Dixie riding home from the airport on Bill's lap and playing with Sparky the visiting dog.   Thank you sooooo much for this wonderful dog.  I will send more pictures and keep you updated on her.   ~~  Marilyn  ~~ 4/10/2010

Hi Mary Ann!  Thank you, thank you for this wonderful dog!  We are both thrilled with her.  You did an amazing job with her; she is so well socialized to animals and people and environmental changes. She gets along with all dogs and animals.  We haven't let her around the horse yet because we are afraid she will get hurt, but she enjoys everybody else.  She and Stanley the cat are best friends and play together for long time periods.  I have tried to get pictures of them playing but the one of the two on the rug is the best I've been able to get so far.  She never meets a stranger among people.  I take her everywhere with me and she loves everyone and they love her.  The kids in the day care love to play with her and she seems to enjoy being played with even though the adults may sometimes think it is too rough she doesn't seem to mind. She rides down the slide on someone's lap on a regular basis!  We have not found anything yet that scares her except when she is chasing a chicken and it stops and looks at her.  Then she runs the other way.  I am attaching a couple of recent pictures.  Thank you again for sharing this precious dog with us.  Marilyn ~ 4/20/2010

BOY, WHAT A BIG MISTAKE WE MADE IN GETTING HIM or should I say, I wish we would have gotten him alot sooooooner!!!!!!!  He is just what we have been wanting in a puppy and pet!!!!!

He is the most precious thing we have seen and what a joy he is to watch play and entertain himself.  WE just love him.......  He and Maggie are getting along just fine and sharing toys like they have been together for years!  He follows her around and copies her moves and some not so good like chewing on small rocks!!!  He thinks she is his mommy.

We can't love him anymore than we do already in such a short amount of time!  He has an excellent temperment and learns quickly.  When we took him to the Vet, of course, she said he checked out O.K.!  But, she went to give him a treat and then take it back and he tried to bit her.  She straightened him out real fast!!!  He doesn't have a problem with anyone taking his food or toys now!!!

Thank you so much for such a precious mix breed.  I wouldn't have a Cocker now for anything......   I loved the smell of him when we got him!  What was the shampoo you washed him in because I would love to get it?!

We took him for a ride in the RV and he laid on the couch beside me for hours and entertained himself or slept.  It doesn't get better than that for a puppy!!!!!

I just had to write and let you know how things are going!!!  If he gets better, I won't be able to contain myself!!!!!  He is worth every penny!

Blessings and Happy New Year to You and Yours,

Carol

"Hi, Mary Ann,

Cheer Bear is now officially Piper.  Piper is absolutely perfect!  I have fallen in love with her and so has my husband!   She will sit in his lap and sleep.  She is sleeping in our bedroom with us and doing great.

She is just a perfect little thing.  She is so fun to watch play with her new toys and chew things.  She is a lover.  She is doing great with the housebreaking.  My husband gets up with her once at night to take her out. She actually wakes us up at night when she needs to go outside. Piper is a smart girl.  And any time she has to go outside, she goes out, does her business and then back to the house.  She does not mess around outside in the cold which I am thankful for right now. I am anxious for warmer weather so I can take her for walks.

I am so thankful that I found you and your pekapoos!!.   Glad Jamie’s mother told me about Annika.

I had been looking for a pekapoo but was afraid to buy from breeders or pet stores. It was a concern to me adopting a puppy from someone I did not know.  Concerned about how the puppy and the puppy’s mother lived and were raised and cared for.  Did not want to end up with a ‘troubled’ puppy.  But I know and can see it in Piper that you truly have family-raised and loved puppies.  It’s like you are not really a breeder but you are a loving foster parent to those little puppies.

As you know now, I am not good at emailing people but will stay in touch.

Thank you so much for my precious little Piper!

Diane

(oh, you asked about using a picture.  As much as I hate pictures of myself, yes if you want you may use a picture of me and Piper.  Thanks for sharing them with me)"

Clara was adopted by Joe and Janette, who drove up here, and had a hard time picking out just which little girl they wanted.  Now little 'Prissy' Priscilla is just the one for them, and is doing wonderfully. Joe likes walking her all over and Janette is going to be doing the grooming herself.

Dear Mary Ann,
Thank you for the pictures! They are so cute. We're really excited about
bringing Nova into our family. Here are a few of the pictures we took on
Sunday. Feel free to put them on the web site or just look at them. We're
so glad we met such a wonderful family with wonderful puppies!
Thanks again, Ashley and Dominic

"Hi Mary Ann,

This is Ashley O'Dell, my boyfriend Dominic and I bought a puppy from you last summer.  He was in the
'New York' litter and we named him Nova.  We've included a picture so yall can see how great he is!
We are looking into getting Nova a friend!  We were thinking a maltipoo girl, white or cream colored.
We saw on your website your having another litter but there is a waiting list... Is there a possibility that
we can be added to the list if the litter will be white?  Also, we were wondering what your suggestion is
regarding the sex of the next puppy.  Is it advisable to get a girl since we already have a boy or would it
be better to get another boy?  We love Nova so much and would love another boy but we don't want
them to mark their territory all over the house.  Any help you can give us or information about the new
litter would be great!
Thanks, Ashley"
