2012 Hearthside Calendars

Louisa and Damascus have 4 very sweet boys.  These will be the small miniature size poodles.  They were born on November 19, a Saturday.  Their 8 week b/day is January 21, 2012.  These puppies will have New Jersey names - our 3rd state to become part of the Union.  That date was December 18, 1787.
A fun fact about New Jersey, it has the most shopping malls in one area in the world.

Have figured out our new names for these boys - and I am having fun here.

Some neat historical places are in New Jersey.

From Left to right: Haddon, Jersey, Morris and Trent.  The boys are 700.00 each.

Trent is the smallest boy.  He and Jersey are about the same color, but this boy is smaller.  He has the nice black points too - as they all do.  He has some pretty curl showing already too.  They should all have good curl, as both parents do.  Trent may be closer to the toy poodle range, taking more after Damascus - who was a borderline toy / miniature poodle.

Trent has been named after Trenton, NJ.  This place has lots of historical sites to go see - we all ought to take a trip together.  :o)

Here is the list:

 Chambersburg. Italian Immigrant community.
Old Barracks. Built during French & Indian Wars. Museum and living history programs.
William Trent House. 1719.
New Jersey State Museum. Native American and History exhibits.
Capitol Building Complex. .Assembly and Senate chambers restored to resemble original Victorian decor.
Trenton Battle Monument.
Ellarslie. Trenton City Museum. In Cadwalader Park. 1848 Italianate villa built for Henry McCall of Philadelphia.

This has been fun - getting to take time to learn a bit more about each state.  Stay tuned,

we have Georgia coming up - that will be our Pekapoo family.

Baby Haddon is nice red.  He has just a wisp of white on top of his head.

He has a nice small nose - and is going to be beautiful.

Haddon is named after Haddonfield in New Jersey.  Here are some historical places in Haddonfield:  Indian King Tavern 1750. State site.
Haddon Fire Co. #1 1765. Small museum.
Haddonfield Historic District - federal houses.
John Gill House 1747. Haddonfield Historical Society.

Jersey is just cute all over.  He will be the football player of the family - look at

this sweet guy - no wiley ways - just all out boy - and wants to be loved,

because he is the lovable teddy bear type.

Jersey has a new home - he is heading east to New York.

He is going to be happy where ever he goes - what a sweet guy.

Jersey is named after Jersey City.  Here is a list of historical sites you can visit in Jersey City.  Liberty State Park  Ferry service to Statute of Liberty and Ellis Island Immigration Museum.
Central Railroad Terminal. Restored and used for cultural events.
Afro-American Historical Society Museum in the Greenville Library.
Old County Courthouse. c.1910.

Morris is our gorgeous creamy champagne colored boy.  Look at his gorgeous dark eyes, they really show up against his lighter fur color.  He is showing some nice curl coming out,

and with his black points, this boy will be stunning.  A real head turner.

Morris has been adopted - he is already in Massachusetts

with Michael and Sofiya.

Morris is named after Morris Town.  There is a long list of places to visit there, to see some of our nation's history.  Here is the list.

Morristown National Historic Park, National Park Service.
Jockey Hollow. Revolutionary War Encampment Site
Wick House. Colonial farmhouse and garden.
Ford Mansion. 1774 house. Washington's headquarters and museum.
